Doordarshan launched 11 new regional DD channels for states

This is good news that now DD Free dish going to add 11 new Doordarshan regional TV channels for states. The Indian States names who got own Doordarshan channels are Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Tripura, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Goa.

Now above state's peoples can enjoy local programs, local news, state-level jobs, and other beneficial information.

The increase of regional TV channels for the state will help and promote regional culture and local opportunities to local peoples.

As per the statement “These state channels represent the regional aspirations of the local population. Providing a satellite network for these channels through DD Free Dish will not only increase the visibility of these channels in the regions but also give them an all-India presence. The increased accessibility to regional broadcast will help promote regional culture and give opportunities to local talent as well,".

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi congratulates people of these 11 states, to get their own state regional DD channels by DD Free dish.

 PM Modi said “Glad to note that Prasar Bharati has brought 11 more State DD Channels on the Satellite footprint of India through DD Free Dish,” he tweeted. “This includes five channels for Northeastern states. This will go a long way in strengthening regional cultures and fulfilling people’s aspirations,” he said.

Recently PM Modi launched a brand new DD channel for Arunachal Pradesh, the name is DD Arun Prabha.
