This is a great news for DD Free dish viewers as Prasar Bharati has issued a notification to release 70th eAuction in the middle of the year to fill the vacant MPEG-2 slots of DD Free dish.
You must be thinking that currently there is no slot for MPEG-2 in DD Freedish, then why the auction?
So it makes sense here that just a few days ago the educational TV channels of DD Freedish which were also running in MPEG 2, but they have been converted to MPEG 4.
Due to this the MPEG 2 slots on DD Free dish can increase to more than 20. We will keep informing you about this, for the time being we give you some information about this auction here.
