The circus is a 1989 Indian television series directed by Aziz Mirza and Kundan Shah, set in a circus troupe, starring Shahrukh Khan and Ashutosh Gowariker. It is re-telecasting every day on DD National from 28 March 2020 during the lockdown of 21 days due to coronavirus.

You can enjoy Circus program on Doordarshan SD and Doordarshan HD channel, both TV channels are available on DD Free Dish DTH.

In the evening Jonathan has a heated argument with Kanti and Vicky, fellow artists of the Circus, and Sultan has to interfere to cool things down. Kanti and Vicky are fed of Jonathan's regular habit of getting drunk and picking up fights with everyone and wonder why Babuji doesn't throw him out of the Circus, to which Sultan replies that Babuji would never do that because Jonathan has always been loyal to Apollo Circus and did not bother to join a new Circus despite being the best Trapeze artist of the country. Many years ago, Jonathan was one of the star artists of Apollo Circus but due to an accident, he lost his leg and had to take early retirement.

Byomkesh Bakshi is the first Television program, re-telecasting on DD National

So Prasar Bharati has decided to re-telecast India's most popular programs - Byomkesh Bakshi once again DD National Channel and DD Bharati channel,  including Ramayana, Mahabharat, and Circus.

DD National is India's National TV channel, where DD Bharati is India's cultural TV channel.

Prasar Bharati brings you to brand new TV channel for all-time hits or memorable serials of Doordarshan. Now you can watch all the programs in one place. Prasar Bharati launched a brand new TV channel as DD Retro.

The channel will start officially from 13th April with popular shows. DD Retro Channel is already added on DD Free dish DTH at channel no.3. DD Sports channel moved to channel no.77

DD Retro is now 4th general entertainment TV channel from Doordarshan, as Doordarshan National, DD Bharati, DD Urdu, and DD Retro. The DD Retro was added to the DD Free Dish on Wednesday at 11551 vertical transponders.

Mahabharata is an Indian historical television program based on a Hindu epic called Mahabharata composed by Maharishi Vyas, a program produced by BR Chopra and directed by his son Ravi Chopra. The music of Mahabharata was composed by Raj Kamal. The screenplay was written by Urdu poet Rahi Masoom Raza based on the original story by Vyas. The costumes for the Mahabharata television program were provided by Maganlal Dresswala.

As you know Doordarshan is now included in the top 5 channels in the country. Because Doordarshan has recently re-broadcasted popular programs such as Ramayana, Mahabharata, Shaktimaan, Alif Laila, Upanishad Ganga, and Chanakya, etc.

In this context, Chhota Bheem is also coming on the show which is the most liked program by children. Chhota Bheem will telecast on DD National from 17 April to 3 May from 2 pm to 2:30 pm.

DD Retro is also added on Doordarshan Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) Service

Prasar Bharati is India's public broadcaster. The Prasar Bharati recently migrated its terrestrial analog TV service to Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) service in all over India.

DD Retro is a newly launched TV channel by Doordarshan Prasar Bharati, will also be available on DTT service. Although DD Retro TV channel is already available on major cable tv and direct to home platforms, including DD Freedish at channel no.3, Sun Direct on Channel no 350, Dish TV on channel no 2008, and Airtel digital TV on channel no 154.

DD Retro channel is specially launched for all-time hits and epic programs of the Doordarshan channel. DD Retro is already started to telecast Mahabharat, Shaktiman, Sankat Mochan Hanuman and other popular shows.

So now the channel will be available on Doordarshan's DTT platform.

Receive Free TV Channels in Mobile -

The DTT service can also be received in android and iOs smartphones. It required DTT / DVB-T2 dongle to attach to the smartphone. The Internet is not required to receive DTT services.
